About the Image Compressor
This tool compresses and resizes images entirely on your device. When you pick an image, it is drawn onto an invisible canvas in your browser, scaled to the size you choose, and re-encoded as JPEG, PNG, or WebP — nothing is ever uploaded to a server, so it's safe for private screenshots and sensitive documents alike. Use the quality slider to trade file size against visual detail for JPEG and WebP output; a setting between 70% and 85% is usually indistinguishable from the original at a fraction of the size. PNG output is lossless, which preserves every pixel but produces larger files. The before-and-after comparison shows exactly how much space you saved before you download the result.
